Wonderful home in the heart of Australia
In the small town of Tirol between Sydney and Canberra is located a beautiful house, built by Jason miles (Miles, Jason). This wonderful piece of architecture was created in the middle of the last century as a suburban home for a family with two children, over time it has lost its pristine beauty and began to demand major reforms. Last year was completed the restructuring and the house received a new, modern look.
As the basis of architectural changes, the house was expanded with additional guest housing, and the interior received more natural light at the expense of the extended apertures. The basis for interair steel with polished concrete floors and white walls. The interior retains features of the mid last century at the expense of the used items in retro style. Very lively and bright.
Simple objects like chairs Acapulco and simple painting did the interior environment in summer casual. A small amount of natural wood in the interior gives the interior comfort. Copper lamps under the ceiling in a black patina has created a great emphasis on the background perfectly white walls and ceiling. These unusual European-style interior items create a unique eclectic style with exotic overtones. Such lamps are part of Moroccan style, but they perfectly fit modern Australian interior last but not least thanks to exotic vaulted ceilings.
The kitchen area in the guest house got the accents in the form of lamps from the Henningsen who were able to emphasize the gloss of the kitchen furniture and give it a slight hint of industrial style, which dilutes the overall simplicity of the surrounding space, adding to the eclectic picture is more color.
A great addition in the form of a guest house to the main house sometimes is the element that can breathe new life into the old house when it is already not enough space for a large family or grown children have their own interests, for which you need a separate space.
